![]() Sandy's summer tour began in a familiar place, on the Southern Belle Riverboat playing in the Firecracker Open. After weeks of rest, healing knee injuries and seeing a chiropractor three times for a pinched nerve in her right shoulder, she was ready to start competing again. The event started strangely with her mens partner, L-Style and Monster teammate Chuck Pankow, having to cancel due to work. Luckily her L-Style and Monster teammate D.J. Sayer helped her out on short notice. In his last tournament before his trip to the Japan Open this week, D.J and Sandy finished Top 8 on Friday losing to eventual winners Vera Emons and the legendary Roger Carter. She was sharp on Saturday winning 501 Doubles with her partner Sandy Haas and 501 Singles in a tough 5 leg match. She threw a 14 dart game in the last leg which included a 180 to best Lisa Ayers. Chuck Pankow and Thomas Baugh teamed with her for a Top 8 finish in Mixed Triples, again losing to the eventual winners. Sunday she was tired and didn't feel like she threw well, leaning heavily on her partner, Sandy Haas to win ladies doubles cricket. She then lost to her partner in Top 8 of singles cricket to conclude the weekend.
