The tournament kicked off on Friday with Ladies Singles Cricket and Sandy was able to survive a tough challenge throughout the bracket to win the event 2-0 over the talented Meradith McGee of Florida. They would meet again in the Finals of Singles 501 on Sunday where Sandy won for her 10th Singles Title of the year and 89th of her career.
It has been 3 years since this event was last held which was the last time Sandy played with her dear friend Marilyn Popp, who has scaled back her travel in recent years. Marilyn has always been one of Sandy's favorite partners and it seemed fitting for them to again team up, picking up right where they left off years ago. They beat local girls Tara Peck and Cat Brune to win Ladies Doubles 501 on Saturday and on Sunday they topped Meradith and fellow Kryptonite Girl Sandy Haas to earn the Cricket Doubles crown.
She teamed with Pat Hewitt to finish Top 4 in both Mixed Doubles events, both times losing to Sandy Haas and Joe Chaney. Pat and Sandy teamed up with Thomas Baugh in Mixed Triples to finish Top 16 and she was able to play Adult/Youth with Gage Alvarado on Sunday but they couldn't advance and lost in the first round.
Sandy wishes to thank her incredible sponsors for all their support through the years, Winmau, L-Style Global, Spider Tech, Flying Bull Darts, Dutchman Darts and Kryptonite Darts believe in her and she is so fortunate to have them in her corner.
