This event is small but very meaningful to those who knew Bob, and it also raised money to assist Youth players in traveling to the ADO Nationals in Stamford, CT this summer. This is always a bit of an emotional event but one that bonds the dart communites in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.
Sandy has incredible sponsors in Winmau, L-Style Global, Flying Bull Darts and Dutchman Darts. A little girl told Sandy that she was famous because she had seen her picture on a set of her "Storm" darts they were raffling off to raise money.
The sport of darts always seems to throw you some curve balls along your journey, just to keep it interesting. She was scheduled to play in the Savannah Open next weekend, a regular stop on her spring tour, but alas a conflict with the hotel has caused them to postpone this event. She will be back in June and looking forward to competing in a tournament for the first time, the Cherry Bomb Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
