She is accustomed to some nice results at this event through the years but her winning streak was broken for the first time in 10 years in the room full of talented players. The theme for the weekend seemed to be if you beat Sandy you went on to win the event, which happened in everything except Mixed Triples and the Blind Draw.
Still she had some good results and finished Top 4 in both Singles events losing in the Semi-Finals to Kryptonite Girl Stacey Pace in 501 and Kelly Meares in Cricket. She and her good friend Candra Archbold teamed up for the first time at a tournament in quite a while. They ended up Top 4 in Cricket Doubles losing to K-Girl Paula Murphy and Tyler Meares and earned Top 8 in 501 Doubles bowing out to Lisa Ayers and K-Girl Stacey Pace. In Mixed Doubles she and Danny Delfino paired up for the 2nd time this year finishing 2nd in 501 to Mark and Kelly Meares and Top 16 in Cricket losing to eventual winners Brian Blake and K-Girl Paula Murphy.
She played with Casey Cline and hubby Chuck in Mixed Triples but lost in the 2nd round, she also lost in the 2nd round of the Blind Draw. She now has a couple of weeks to rest up and get the lingering cough and sneezing out of her system before playing later this month in Chattanooga and then to England for the Winmau World Masters. Sandy's sponsors are always a big part of her success with their amazing products and support. A Big shout out to L-Style Global, Spider Tech, Flying Bull Darts and Dutchman Darts.
