Saturday started with Ladies Doubles Cricket where she partnered with fellow Kryptonite Girl Candra Archbold to finish Top 8, losing to Holly Frary and dear friend Marilyn Popp. Then things got interesting in the World Dart Federation and British Dart Organization sanctioned 501 Singles . Sandy made a great run to the Finals having to play K-Girls all along the way.
She played Gloria Guteirrez, Pam Briggs and Bette Cunningham to reach the Finals where Paula Murphy was waiting on her. Sandy won 4-2 and hit back to back 171's in the deciding leg. She teamed with fellow Flying Bull sponsored player Robbie Phillips and Greg Von Lienen but missed a critical double and lost to Johnny Kuczynski, Mark Fair and Bette in the 2nd round of Mixed Triples.
Sunday started slow with a quick exit in 501 Mixed Doubles as she and Robbie lost to Holly and American legend Darin Young which again found Sandy missing a key double. She and Candra made a run to the Semi-Finals in 501 Doubles before bowing out to yet another K-Girl, Marlise Kiel and her partner Canada's Trish Grzesik who would go on to win the event.
The last event of the tournament was Ladies Cricket Singles and again Sandy had her hands full with her Kryptonite Girls teammates topping Paula Murphy in the Quarter-Finals and Morgan McCormack in the Semi-Finals. She played the talented Cali West in the Finals and survived a scoring error in the last leg to win the title in a epic match which went back and forth as the two titans clashed.
Sponsors are so important to Sandy's success and she feels like she has the best in the business in Spider Tech, Flying Bull Darts, L-Style Global and Kryptonite Darts.
