This is a great little tournament organized by the fine people of the QCDA in Charlotte, NC and always filled with some stiff competition. This was the first event she was able to play with Camilla Bunnell out of Pawley's Island, SC and they played well together, capturing both Ladies Doubles Titles. They also won both Singles events between them, Camilla in 501 and Sandy won the Cricket Title. Her first of the season and 141st of her career. Sandy finished Top 8 in 501 Singles.
Sandy teamed a regular partner and great guy in Pat Hewitt. They reached the Finals of both Mixed Doubles events, winning Cricket Doubles and finishing 2nd in 501 to Steve and Julie Phillips. We commuted from home each day to the event and the hour and a half drive always wears her down a bit, especially on Sunday with the short turn around, but all in all she played some good darts at time. Spending the weekend with good friends always makes this event so enjoyable.
Sandy is fortunate to be supported by some great sponsors who have amazing products. Please look into the industry leading products from Winmau, L-Style Global, Magic Wear and Dutchman Darts. January is a busy month with 5 events in 3 weeks so she will be in Asheville, NC next at the Fire on the Mountain tournament before going to Las Vegas, NV for the ADO 501 and Cricket National Championships and Las Vegas Open.
