Modern life with 2 replacement knee surgeries means you have to pace yourself more and sometimes you can over do it. That's what Sandy did. After the normal busy end of the year at work she took on a hectic January dart challenge featuring 3 tournaments and 2 national championships and too much travel. She felt she was developing some bad habits trying to push through at times so she laid the darts down for a month, she didn't even pick them up.
But at the 2nd Saltwater Classic she returned and a common theme for the 2022 season continued, setting up to play with new partners she never played with before. This weekend it was Randall Lewis and Dondi McClintock. They earned Top 8 in Mixed Triples and she teamed with Randall to win Mixed Doubles 501 and Top 8 in Cricket Mixed Doubles splitting with Alex Spellman and Shea Cole.
She and Camilla Bunnell teamed up again for this event and they too split Finals matches with Shea Cole and Kayla Murray. They won Cricket Doubles and finished 2nd in 501 Doubles. Sandy would end up splitting matches yet again with Shea, but never in the Finals. Sandy was Top 8 in 501, losing to Shea who went on to win. She won Cricket Singles to earn her 4th singles title of the season and reached a landmark for her career, it was her 160th Singles crown, not too bad for a 15 year career.
Sandy wants to thanks her sponsors for their support, Winmau, L-Style Global and Magic Wear. She will return in a couple of weeks.
