In the unseeded event she drew a tough bracket that included a 3 time ADO Points Champion, 3 members of the 2015 World Cup team, the defending National Cricket Champion and 3 Kryptonite Girl teammates. Despite the impressive field, she threw well and tied for first in the bracket and advanced to the knockout round where she met the talented California player Corrine Stockton. She proved to be a worthy competitor and even threw 2 perfect scores of 9 marks in a single leg. But Sandy is battle tested to say the least and not only won that leg but also claimed the match 3-0.
Next up was defending Champion Marlise Kiel who threw well but still lost 3-0 to Sandy. She advanced to the Final against yet another Kryptonite Girl, Morgan McCormack. Both players were able to hold serve and every leg was won by the player that started first, in the end Morgan was able to claim her first ADO National Title 3-2. While Sandy was disappointed, she was happy for Morgan who at 20 years old, is the youngest player to ever win an ADO National Championship.
Sandy looks forward to returning in 2016 and again trying to earn the crown. Her sponsors are always such a big part of her success and she wants to thank Winmau, L-Style Global, Spider Tech, Flying Bull, Dutchman Darts and Kryptonite Darts for their continued support.
