After a long day of missed opportunities on Friday, Sandy kicked the tournament off on Saturday with the newly added Ladies Doubles Cricket and where she teamed with Canada's Trish Grzesik for the first time. They earned a Top 8 finish losing to Shea Reynolds and fellow Kryptonite Girl Paula Murphy in a tough three leg match. Paula and Shea would go on the win the event and beat Sandy and Trish in the Ladies 501 Doubles Final on Sunday in another hard fought match.
Sandy also teamed up with her L-Style and Monster teammate Bob Sinnaeve, a Canadian legend. She and Bob couldn't get out of the first round in Mixed Doubles 501 but teamed with Tom Sawyer for a Top 4 finish in Mixed Triples 601. In Singles Sandy missed opportunities in losing a Top 8 match to Cali West and a Top 4 match to Paula, both girls would go on to win the events. The tournament represents the end of a long, painful month for Sandy who has decided to cancel an upcoming event in Alabama to focus on her physical therapy designed to realign her hips and ease her pain.
After a short break she will return hoping to again earn a spot in the Winmau World Masters this spring. Sandy is so lucky to have amazing sponsors, L-style and Monster were on hand in Vegas to support her as was nine of her fellow Kryptonite Girls. She simply could not have gotten through these three days without the incredible products of her new sponsor Spider Tech and as always, was one of the best dressed players in her Flying Bull Dart shirts.
