Sandy had a full schedule leading up to the Target-USSDA 501 Nationals but was able to scramble to get there for the start. She won her bracket but was having trouble gripping her darts, which would be a theme for the whole weekend. She reached the Finals but wasn't playing well, congrats to Amanda Preciado who was clutch on doubles throughout the match.
On Saturday she played Cricket Doubles with her good friend John Liggett and they reached the Top 8 before bowing out to the legendary Roger Carter and his wife Vera. Sunday was weird, in 501 Mixed Doubles she and John lost early and Sandy got recycled, # 2 to be exact....lol. She and Tucker Schenck made a run to the Semi-Finals. She played with John and his brother Mark on Saturday night in Triples 601, losing in the Top 8.
Sandy skipped 501 Singles after a mishap on an exercise bike Sunday morning....I always tell her those things will hurt you, she doesn't listen...lol. Saturday she again reached the Finals, losing to the very talented Dani Warmack, another theme for the weekend.
This was yet another tournament where her schedule partner had to cancel. Sandy found a great partner on short notice, thanks to Lindsay Marshall. She is a rising player in our area and together they reached the Finals twice, losing both times to Dani Warmack and Heather Howard who shot great all weekend.
Sandy has great support from her friends and her sponsors, thanks Winmau, L-Style Global and Magic Wear.
