While the turnout was a little sparse compared to past years, there was still a good turnout with regulars from Greenville, Spartanburg, Asheville, Charlotte and Columbia. The event, hosted by the Spartanburg County Dart Organization, helps to raise money for youth players to advance to the ADO National Youth Championships and the Winmau Youth Nationals hosted by the United States Sports Dart Alliance which will be held in Florida next month.
Sandy was able to play with some good friends and found some success as well. She teamed up with her regular youth partner Gage Alvarado and finished in 2nd place. She was then able to win the 501 Singles Title over Jackie Quayle for her 8th title of the season. The Ladies Cricket Final featured four of the Greater Greenville Dart Girls as Sandy and Tia Rogers came out on top over Kim Carpenter and Candra Archbold, Bob's widow and fellow Kryptonite Girl. She paired up with Pat Hewitt to win 501 Mixed Doubles over Fred Copeland and Ellen Lee to finish off an enjoyable day of darts.
Sandy's sponsors have always supported her and she loves being able to represent these great people and their amazing products. Thank you Winmau, L-Style Global, Flying Bull Darts and Dutchman Darts. Sandy will be back in action next month defending the NC/SC Ladies Challenge Cup in Greenville and at the Cherry Bomb International in Deerfield Beach, FL and the WDF America's Cup in Trinidad and Tobago in early July.
