The match was hosted by the VFW Post 10330 and was the girls second title defense after claiming the cup earlier this year. The GPDA team started fast and never looked back earning a 22-2 victory. Sandy and the girls, Tia Rogers, Candra Archbold, Mona Brunina, Laurie Beach, and Amy Tucker played well from start to finish and turned in their most complete match to date. The Pineville team were great sports and a good time was had by all. This was the third straight win for the team and sixth overall for Greenville.
![]() Sandy is fortunate to have such amazing sponsors with high quality products and services. Their unwavering support has been a key part of her success through the years. The dart pictured is the first prototype of her model from Monster Barrels Design who have been working with her to design a dart based on her needs. It is a 23 gram, 90% tungsten dart that meets her specific length and width requirements and she looks forward to getting the dart in about a month. As excited as she is about having her own model dart, she is also pumped about her signature flights from L-Style Global which feature her "Storm" logo. We have heard that the container with her flights has arrived from Japan and is processing through customs in Los Angeles. This is one of several new L-Style products that continue to raise the bar with their innovation and commitment to the sport. Sandy is one of the three original players sponsored by Flying Bull Darts who make state of the art sublimation dart shirts. They have come up with some very distinctive designs for her shirts and now they are at it again, this time teaming up with Monster Barrels Design to "monsterize" her storm logo on a couple of new shirts. She has been impressed by the "mock up" designs for these shirts and looks forward to wearing them at a tournament soon. And last but not least, her oldest sponsor Kryptonite Darts, which manages her popular website are launching a new site designed to promote women's darts in America. The new site is called kryptonitegirls.com and launches on Sept. 1st with some of the most talented female players in the country. She is pleased to be a part of this group and looks forward to working with the great ladies associated with this project. ![]() The American Darts Organization held it's Area 4-3 National Qualifier for the 2013 America's Cup team in Aiken, SC. With the busy summer season the turnout was less than expected with only 5 ladies. Sandy went 19-1 on the day, winning the event to advance to the national playoff in Nashua, NH in October. There she will try to earn a berth on the American team for the America's Cup 2014 . Just reaching the national playoffs from the highly competitive Area 4-3 region, long considered a hot bed for nationally ranked players, is a great accomplishment. But the real prize lies in the honor of representing America in international competition. It will be her 22nd appearance in the ADO's national playoff events. |
