Personal preferences aside there is still some mighty thin air in those rocky mountains and a lot of players struggle to adapt, Sandy has always had to work to overcome this adjustment, but this year was different, this year she threw the darts well here, which hopefully bodes well in the future.
She was fighting the same flu that hindered her efforts in Friday's ADO National Playoff yet she still fought through the weekend with some sound results in this very talented room. On Saturday she teamed with a couple of South Carolina players in Pat Hewitt and Mike Elderbroom but suffered and 2nd round loss to the eventual Champions in Mixed Triples. She paired up with fellow Kryptonite Girl Stacey Pace and advanced through the tough field to win 501 Ladies Doubles over Shea Cole and K-Girl Paula Murphy. They would also meet each other in the Cricket Doubles Final the next day where they finished 2nd to Shea and Paula.
In Singles she earned a Top 8 in the BDO ranked 501 event where she lost a grueling 3-2 match to Robin Curry. On Sunday she advanced to the Cricket Finals with the "MVP" Award hanging in the balance, she and Paula hooked up in an epic match with Paula winning in the end 4-3. Check out all the incredible products from Sandy's Sponsors Winmau, L-style Global, Spider Tech, Flying Bull Darts and Dutchman Darts. After some well deserved rest she will be back in action at her favorite tournament in 2 weeks, the one, the only "Ghost on the Coast".
