Sandy was close to home this weekend, a welcome change during this hectic season of dart travels. The Greater Greenville Dart Girls hosted the talented ladies from Fuquay Varina, North Carolina in NC/SC Ladies Challenge Cup, America's oldest interstate challenge cup series. Sandy's teammates for the match were Tia Rogers, Candra Archbold, Karen Anderson, Sara Warpinski, Teresa Cepek and Candice Curran.
The locals girls got off to a quick start winning 401 Singles
5-1 surviving some very close matches. The teams split Cricket Singles as the competitive play continued and Doubles started with the GGDG leading 8-4. They pushed the lead to 12-6 entering Cricket Doubles and in the end Sandy and her teammates were able to defend the Cup with a 16-8 win in a match where both teams were missing key players and most everything went three legs.
The victory was the record setting 18th straight win in the NC/SC Cup series for the Greenville Girls who were great hosts as usual, supplying plenty of food and a good time was had by all. The Kryptonite Girls were also well represented as Lora Josey joined Candra and Sandy in the match.
