The talented ladies from Apex, NC made the long drive down to challenge for the crown that the Greenville Girls have held for over three years. The local girls dug a hole in 401 Singles while Sandy and fellow K-Girl Candra Archbold sat out the event. If not for some last leg heroics by Karen Anderson and Tia Rogers the deficit would have been even greater. Down 4-2 the GGDG took control sweeping 6 Cricket Singles and establishing an 8-4 lead heading into Doubles matches.
Sandy, Candra, Tia and Karen joined Amy Patterson, Sara Warpinski, Teresa Cepek and Candice Curran to post a 4-2 edge in Doubles 501 and 4-2 in Cricket Doubles to claim the match 16-8. The final score does not indicate how many events went 3 legs and could have gone either way. The victory was the 19th consecutive win, the longest streak in Cup history.
Sandy returns to action next week at the nearby Fire on the Mountain tournament in Asheville, NC. Ask her about her new signature darts from Winmau and Dutchman Darts, or her L Style Storm flights and shafts. All great products she relies on heavily. She wears the best shirts in the business from Flying Bull and never plays without the amazing Spider Tech Tape.
