Sandy and the Greater Greenville Dart Girls hosted the talented ladies from Charlotte, NC and were able to successfully defend the Cup which is the oldest Challenge Cup in American dart history. Though missing some of their teammates, the GGD Girls earned a hard fought 18-6 victory over one of the original teams in the NC/SC Cup Series.
The Charlotte ladies were making their first trip to Greenville under their new captain Beth Ferguson, who took over the duties after the retirement of their longtime captain Evey Hodge. They played well but found Greenville to be on top of their game for most of the match. The local girls were goos host as usual, bring lots of food, snacks and desserts for everyone to enjoy. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun contributing another chapter to the Cup's long storied history.
The GGD Girls on hand for the match were Karen Carnes, Tia Rogers, Gin Knight, Laurie Beach, Teresa Cepek, Sandy and her Kryptonite Girl teammate Candra Archbold. For Sandy, the busy Spring tour continues next week in Asheville, NC.
