It seems our world has been turned upside down and the effects of the Covid-19 vurus has reached all points of the globe. With so many missed events it was a great day of darts as the Greater Greenville Dart Girls hosted a very tough team of ladies from Pineville, NC. Both teams spent the afternoon playing through a bit of rust as one would expect in a situation like this, but both teams managed to produce some quality darts along the way and more importantly, everyone had a good time doing what we all love, playing darts.
In the end Greenville retained the Cup with a 17 -7 victory. Sandy played well at times and went undefeated on the day. The NC/SC Ladies Challenge Cup dates back to 1981 and would not have endured 38 years without the dedication of some special players and promoters in the Carolinas.
Sandy is supported by some incredible people at Winmau, L-Style Global, Magic Wear Attire and Dutchman Darts. This virus related downtime has effected all of them greatly and we invite you to look into their fine products and see for yourself why Sandy has the best sponsors in the business.
The near future is a bit murky still, some areas have reopened in a limited capacity and other areas are still restricted. Many leagues have either had to reschedule their tournaments or cancel them all together. Upcoming events face the same fears and questions moving forward. Sandy has events planned but we will have to see if they will be able to happen. For now, it's just great to be paying darts once again.
