A few month's later they competed together for the first time in Huntsville, AL at the Shoot for the Moon tournament and had quite a bit of success together. This past weekend Sandy was at that same tournament where we always have Stacey on our minds even though she hadn't been able to come for years. As you have probably heard, Stacy lost her fight with cancer last Sunday and the world of darts lost a great ambassador to the sport. Her impact on our lives and the sport will live on forever and this weekend Sandy was doing what Stacy did all those years ago, mentoring an up and coming player in Melissa Wright.
She and Melissa lost in the Semi-Finals of 501 Doubles to Paula Murphy and Shea Cole who would go on tho win the event. On Sunday they knocked out those two talented players and won the Ladies Doubles Cricket event, never dropping a leg. She teamed with Joe Efter for a Top 16 finish in Mixed Doubles and added Jon Foreman for a Top 16 run in Mixed Triples. Sandy and Paula Murphy were both in fine form this weekend and met each other in three All K-Girls Finals. Sandy won the 301 Pro-Shoot and Paula captured the 501 and Cricket Singles Titles.
Sandy is blessed to have so many friends, supporters and amazing sponsors in Winmau, L-Style Global, Flying Bull, Spider Tech and Dutchman Darts. We thank you all for your continued support.
