After years away from professional circuit, she came back to the sport in 2007 and has competed at the highest levels of women's darts in America and England ever since.
Sandy, like most players missed a massive part of the 2020 due to the Covid pandemic and it continued to impact the American dart tour with postponements and cancellations throughout the 2021 season. Things started to pick up last summer and Sandy hopes to enjoy a more normal routine with darts in 2022. January is a busy month on her dart schedule and it kicked off with the Celebrate the New Year tournament in Pineville, NC. Sandy won 5 of 6 events including her first 2 Singles titles of the season. Two weeks later she was in Las Vegas for the ADO Nationals, earning a 2nd place finish in the Cricket Nationals. She also played in the Las Vegas Open. She finished the month in Asheville, NC at the Fire on the Mountain tournament where she won she won 3 times including her 3rd Singles crown of the season. After such a hectic month, she took a small break and returned for the Saltwater Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC in early March. She again won 3 events and her 4th Singles title of the season raising her career total to 160. Layer in March she helped her GGDG teammates defend the NC/SC Ladies Challenge Cup vs CADC.
